Only in Zimbabwe

Only in Zimbabwe can you find somewhat amusing extremes of a third world blended with British influences that make you feel like you between here and nowhere.

Only in Zimbabwe can you find the oldest notes of US dollars in rotation. Once you get them you learn to mission to get rid of them real quick, just in case the next time you want to spend them the cashier might tell you that the note is illegible so you move fast and buy anything worth buying.

Only in Zimbabwe do you find full time artists, who hustle so hard that they will to make it happen, helps them survive.

Only in Zimbabwe would I be willing to fork out 2000 U$ for a piece of art work, cos I see the effort, love and passion that went into it. Totally worth it.

Only in Zimbabwe will you find live bands with anything and everything that goes down with respect to live performance. Applause!!

Only in a studio in Zimbabwe will you find Jamaican, Zimbabwean and Congolese artists jamming and they all have time to say what's up and take pics before they go for another take.

Only in Zimbabwe will it take a waiter 40 minutes to find you change for 100 U$.

Only in Zimbabwe do you find the nicest people in the hospitality industry but really bad customer service.

Only in a hotel in Zimbabwe do they not allow to sign off items to your room, in case you never reappear again, never mind if you still booked in for another week. Got to pay cash, right here right now.

Only in Zimbabwe you have to experience it for yourself and disregard anything and everything the media tells you about how things are on the ground.

Only in Zimbabwe do I feel partly home, partly not (languages) and I blend in so well, I am hardly to be described as a visitor.

Only in Zimbabwe was I able to pour out all I had to give and leave a piece of my heart, knowing well that I shall soon return to reclaim it.

Only in Zimbabwe.
